Personal Care

The Friendship Centers dispatch home health aides to assist with activities of daily living for the homebound senior, or those recovering from an illness or surgery. Seniors can receive 1 hour per week of the following personal care services by donation. Additional hours of service are available by purchase.

Services include assistance with:

• Bathing or showering
• Hair care, nail care, oral care
• Assistance with dressing
• Monitoring vital signs and weight
• Ambulation
• Toilet or bedpan use
• Transfers - i.e. bed to chair
