Support Groups

The Friendship Centers of Emmet County provide a forum for seniors with special concerns and their caregivers to share information and support. Guest speakers provide information to help caregivers cope, to teach seniors how to compensate for their health losses, and how to continue living independently. Group participants have the opportunity to discuss mutual concerns and experiences, and receive comfort, assurance and encouragement through these forums.

• Alzheimer's Support Group - meets twice monthly
• Low Vision Support Group - meets twice monthly
• Parkinson's Support Group - meets monthly
• Widow and Widower Support Group - meets twice monthly
