Congregate Meals

The Friendship Centers of Emmet County serve nutritious, flavorful meals at each of the senior center sites in Petoskey, Alanson and Pellston. Seniors meet in a congenial atmosphere with friends and acquaintances to share a meal and enjoy each other's company. The menus are approved by a registered dietician and prepared by a certified chef. Holiday celebrations and parties always offer tantalizing treats.

• Petoskey Senior Center serves lunch at noon on weekdays
• Alanson Senior Center serves lunch on Wednesdays & Fridays at noon
• Pellston Senior Center serves lunch on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at noon
• Suggested donation: $2.50 per meal. Meals will not be denied due to inability to contribute.

The Meals on Wheels program offers hot, nutritious meals delivered each week day by friendly drivers to the homebound or ill senior citizens age 60 or older. Frozen meals are available upon request for the weekends. All meals are approved by a registered dietician and prepared by a certified chef. The meal drivers offer more than food delivery, as they become friendly contacts with the seniors and will notify the Friendship Centers when additional assistance is needed.

Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels)

• Meals delivered to senior homes, Monday through Friday.
• Frozen meals available for weekends.
• Breakfast foods available
• Suggested donation: $2.50 per meal. Meals will not be denied due to inability to contribute.
